Prosthetics
Bridges
Dental bridges can be listed among a few types of fixed dental prosthesis. That means that its permanently cemented to the patients’ own teeth, making it a comfortable prosthetic solution. Thanks to dental bridgework gaps with two or three teeth missing can be filled. A bridge mounted on the patients’ very own teeth recreates missing teeth functionally as well as esthetically.
Crowns
Dental crowns are prosthetic fillings enabling a specialist to restore the shape and function of a damaged tooth even when a standard tooth restoration by direct resin filling is no longer possible. Our dental center offers full ceramic crowns as well as porcelain capped- both types of crowns can help achieve a perfect esthetic and functional effect. Additionally in the frontal area the best cosmetic solution is to use full ceramic crowns because of the slight transparency that mimics this trait of natural front teeth.
Porcelain facings
Porcelain facings are esthetic dentistry’s magnificent appliance. They are a fixed prosthetic filling applied to cover unesthetic upper and lower teeth’s outer surface. They are made entirely out of porcelain- with no metal framework- that’s how we can achieve such amazing esthetic effects and completely change every smile for the better. The facings’ big asset is that they need much less teeth abrading than prosthetic crowns- it helps save a lot of tooth tissue. The porcelain facings’ thickness is a tiny 0,8-1mm, so the direct intervention in the tooth’s tough tissues is minimal.
Prophylaxis
Our specially designed prophylactic and hygienic program consists of: getting rid of the deposition and residue from the tooth’s surface, fluorination treatments, varnishing of the newly erupted teeth and a hygiene training that creates an opportunity to learn the rules of the proper cleaning of the oral cavity specifically adjusted to the patients’ age (children, teenagers, adults) and problems (sensitive teeth, gum and paradontium diseases, etc.). In course of these meetings we select toothpastes, mouthwash fluids, brushes, dental flosses and such, depending on the situation at hand.
Tooth sealing
Tooth sealing is all about covering the pit and fissure in the permanent teeth with fissure sealant. The procedure, which is performed by a dentist, is completely painless and comfortable for the patient. The fissure sealing treatment is a routine prophylactic procedure. It handles only newly erupted molar and premolar teeth, because the anatomical construction of the biting surface covered in deep pit and fissures allows build-up of bacteria which colonize the groove the moment the tooth erupts.
Sand-blasting
The Sand-blasting treatment is completely painless and safe. It is recommended to additionally have Your teeth polished afterwards and what’s most important to cover them with a layer of fluoride to prevent tooth decay and oversensitivity.
Polishing
Polishing teeth with special brushes and rubbers and polishing paste (Clean Polish). It removes coffee and cigarette residue.
Scaling
The procedure of removing calculus with the help of a special ultrasound device. It allows us to prevent paradontosis. It’s fulfillment is the polishing and fluoride varnishing treatment, which prevents tooth decay.
Varnishing
Varnishing is a method of dental fluoridation. It makes the teeth more resistant to bacteria causing tooth decay. Tooth varnishing reduces it up to 75%. The treatment is performed in a dental office using a highly concentrated fluoride formula. Despite the high fluoride concentration the formulas are safe for the patients, because they bind quickly clinging to the tooth’s surface and gradually releasing small doses of fluoride.
Oral hygiene training
Caring for our patients’ teeth we pay particular attention to any prophylactic procedures performed at our clinic as well as those done by the patient in the comfort of their home.
Endodontics
Endodontics is a sphere in conservative dentistry dealing with root canal therapy. Simplifying, root canal therapy is all about removing infected or necrotic pulp from the pulp chamber and root canal by mechanical and chemical preparation of the root canals and by filling it with chemically ambivalent materials, which do not cause irritation of the apical zone.
Because of the small dimensions of the canals and numerous ramifications and curving the cleaning can be quite difficult. The more thorough the treatment is conducted the more it is possible to rescue the tooth and keep it in the oral cavity for many years.
In order to perform the most precise preparation of the root canals, the dentist must use apart from the most basic tools (called root canal instruments) and chemical agents, an endometer – an electronic device which locates the apex and helps to measure the length of the canal and in more complicated cases, an endodontic microscope which enables the doctor to see inside the whole tooth canal.
Pediatric dentistry
A child is usually a more sensitive patient, who reacts lively to all stimuluses psychological and physical. A visit at the dentists always has something to do with fear and those less fortunate sensations can stay with the child for a very long time. This can cause those children to later as adults feel the fear of dental treatment.
For the doctor the handling of the patient is an issue of extreme importance. A doctor should be able to overcome the little patients fears, which can certainly improve doctor- patient interactions, making the future treatments effective. You can never underestimate the doctors friendly attitude towards the child, who is fully informed through the whole course of the treatment.
Of course one cannot forget about the important role of parents and guardians, who cannot create any prejudice and misgivings and subconsciously transfer their negative attitude towards dental treatment. To minimize the fear it is crucial to start fairly early in a child’s life. Children about two years old can become accustomed to the instruments and the surroundings of a dental office. To achieve the feeling of some comfort in such situations and conditions we have created the so- called adaptive appointments, which being a form of fun not connected to any procedures and treatments, help the child to get used to cooperating with the doctor.
A great deal of experience in working with children will let us encourage little patients and tame their fears of dental treatments giving them a chance to have healthy milk teeth and a beautiful smile.
Implants
The loss of even a single tooth in the frontal tooth arch is a serious problem. Esthetics are distorted and functionality disordered (disturbed chewing function). Psychological (constant uncertainty and low self-esteem) and social issues (a full, beautiful smile is an asset in both professional and private domains of life) are also important and cannot be underestimated. The ideal solution of all these problems can be reached through dental implants that:
-
bring back the patients’ beautiful, confident smile;
enable full permanent recreation of missing teeth;
guarantee to give the patient full physical and psychological comfort;
ensure a perfect esthetic effect and a natural look;
help the patient avoid such inconveniences of traditional prosthetic filling as teeth abrading or the removing of the denture.
Dental implants used today are small titanium screws surgically placed in jawbones in place of the missing tooth’s prong. They form a foundation for the tooth’s new crown.
At our clinic we use, depending on the condition of the bones, implants made by two major producers – Astra Tech and Nobel Biocare. All these implants are produced from the highest purity titanium (international ISO norms’ grade IV). They are implants of highest quality. This guarantees our clients’ safety and an excellent esthetics.
Can anyone undergo the implantation procedure?
Before the doctor decides to perform the procedure, he must lead a detail examination of the oral cavity paying special attention to the state of teeth, gums and the amount of bone tissue in the places of planned implantation. The decision to start the treatment is largely influenced by the patients’ current overall health status. Fortunately only some systemic diseases are a counter indication to perform implantation.
Can artificial teeth based on implants be as esthetic as the natural ones?
A treatment system consisting of several appointments and thorough preliminary research and precise surgical and prosthetic techniques make the result virtually undistinguishable. The gums and glistening ceramic surface of the crown completely cover the metal parts of the implant. The shade, transparency and shining glaze of the prosthetic crown are individually fitted to every patient and his or hers remaining teeth.
